Even though this is Maarten Baas‘s 2008 project, I still wanted to share these with you. Maarten plays with the contrast between the manufacturing of handcrafted and mass-produced products (both of which the Chinese are of course very skilled at). These sculptural pieces were created from Elm, handcrafted by woodworkers from Shanghai.  (via Wallpaper*)

    that’s what i call creative work! and it’s perfectly made! wow, great job! just like boca do lobo, and delightfull! they make beautiful pieces by hand :)
